Wood contributes to indoor air quality and provides a warm, inviting living environment. It brings the beauty of nature indoors, adding aesthetic value and offering limitless design options.

Finished wood is manufactured to standard dimensions and designed for a specific purpose. Architects and interior designers know that unique, high-quality British Columbia (B.C.) wood products can add artistic appeal and value to any residential or commercial building. B.C. wood species are used to produce everything from beautiful indoor and outdoor furniture to commercial fixtures, cases and kiosks. B.C. is also an excellent source of raw stock that can be used for further remanufacturing.

B.C. manufacturers provide a wide range of value-added wood products that add quality finishing touches, such as furniture, doors, window frames, architectural millwork, panelling, mouldings/trim, cabinetry, specialty and prefabricated housing products.

Species such as spruce and bigleaf maple are used for specialty musical instruments; Douglas-fir, western red cedar, pine and alder used for high-end interior millwork and mouldings; and local maple is crafted into custom children’s furniture and toys.
