A guide on wood in commercial applications

Structural wood products offer viable and innovative solutions for low-rise commercial buildings. This guide, intended specifically for the Canadian market, is a resource for design and construction professionals looking to use wood in commercial applications.

The guide was the result of more than seventy multi-disciplinary individuals working collaboratively in its development. It includes six design templates for low-rise commercial projects: light-frame wood, heavy timber, mass timber and hybrid construction solutions.

This guide was produced by the Canadian Wood Council and is available for purchase on their webstore (external link).
