Building Smart: The Economics of Building with Mass Timber – PART 1

This first session in a two-part series focuses on examples of regional multi-unit buildings designed for unique site-specific requirements and climate zones.

Join this session and discover the integration potential of the mass timber façade and structure with low carbon energy systems. Learn how mass timber differs from concrete and steel hybrid construction, as well as flexible and repeatable building types and construction techniques. Attendees will also discover the factors that affect construction schedules and occupancy.

This event is being held in collaboration with NRCan, CMHC, Forestry Innovation Investment and the Province of BC’s Office of Mass Timber Implementation.
