About North American Forest Products Ltd.
Like many other businesses in the lumber industry, we started small and worked with family. In the mid-1980s, we began repairing pallets for local clients. Over time, we made our way into manufacturing new pallets. Our business growth relied heavily on making and delivering pallets on time.
In 1997, we shifted our focus away from the local pallet industry and set our sights on the pallet cut-stock market. We established North American Forest Products in 1998 and began providing pallet manufacturers across the U.S. and Canada with pre-cut pallet components. We have maintained our commitment to on-time deliveries, which has allowed our company to grow year after year.
Today, we continue to manufacture pallet stock but have also developed product lines to serve the fencing, crate, and agricultural stake markets.
Our primary manufacturing facility and head office is in Abbotsford, B.C. We are located about five minutes from the U.S. border, within 10 km of CN and CP rail, and an hour from the Port of Vancouver. We have the capability to ship our products anywhere in the world.
With six acres of pavement and 45,000 square feet of building and warehouse space, we can store over 10 million board feet of lumber in our yard. We load vans at one of three at-grade loading docks. Before leaving the yard, every shipment is screened for quality and accuracy. Each truck is scaled to ensure that we have loaded as much material as possible while keeping within legal truck weights.
When it comes to lumber remanufacturing, we can do it all. From 2×2” to 6×12” material, our equipment allows us to break down even the largest stock into whatever our customers require.
