Brisco Manufacturing Ltd. (BML) is a privately held Canadian company located in the Columbia Valley in the East Kootenays. BML specializes in producing high-quality certified engineered beams from laminated veneer lumber (LVL). The BML facility is capable of manufacturing a full range of laminated wood products.
In 2002, Brisco Manufacturing Ltd. opened its doors to become a specialty producer of large beams manufactured from laminated veneer lumber (LVL). At that time, LVL beams were primarily used in hidden, interior residential and commercial construction applications. Since then, BML has been working with architects, engineers and general contractors to incorporate the new Brisco Fine Line™ products into a multitude of new exposed applications.
Brisco Fine Line™ is an LVL-based product line of beams, columns and massive wood panels. Brisco Fine Line™ offers alternative solutions for mass timber construction for commercial and residential applications striving to build with wood.
There are several environmental advantages of using Brisco Fine Line™ products. Brisco Fine Line™ products are made from wood, which is a renewable, natural resource. The entire log is used in our manufacturing process, and all wood waste is re-purposed or used to help fuel our mills. Certified forest management and fibre sourcing systems are used to help ensure that our wood comes from well-managed forests. We only use locally sourced fibre to reduce the carbon footprint of our products. Engineered wood products like Brisco Fine Line™ are uniform and consistent in performance, unlike traditional lumber. This eliminates waste and reduces the amount of material needed.
