About Brink Forest Products Ltd.
Brink Forest Products Ltd. strives to be an innovative manufacturer of wood products and aims to lead the industry in fibre utilization, product quality, occupational health and safety, education and training, environmental conservation, and sustainable forest management.
In 1965, John Brink arrived in Canada from Holland with just $25, driven by a vision of building a better life. Settling in Prince George, he began as a clean-up worker at a local mill, determined to one day own his own forest company. Through hard work and perseverance, Brink turned his dream into reality, founding Brink Forest Products—a leading manufacturer of value-added lumber for global markets. Grateful for the opportunities Canada provided, Brink and his company actively give back to the Prince George community by supporting education, the arts, and local quality of life.
Brink Forest Products envisions becoming a leading secondary manufacturer in a revitalized Northern B.C. forest industry by producing high-value wood products for both domestic and international markets. The company champions environmentally friendly innovation and collaborates closely with the primary sector to maximize the value extracted from each tree. This partnership-driven approach benefits the industry, communities, workers, and the environment alike, enhancing sustainability through reduced waste and a lighter ecological footprint.
To achieve its mission, Brink Forest Products will:
- Maximize plant productivity and output through the recovery of structural and value-added products while minimizing waste and residues.
- Be responsive to customer requirements for quality, delivery, packaging, and dependability.
- Recognize the value of its employees by ensuring a safe work environment, promoting a positive quality of work life, adhering to a firm code of ethics and behaviour, and providing opportunities for improvement and advancement through training and education.
- Promote positive community relations by supporting educational, recreational, and social activities and maintaining a strong, reliable presence as a corporate citizen.
- Practice sound management principles to minimize the impact of its activities on soil, water, and air quality, while supporting the sustainable management of forests affected by its operations.
- Manage the business to provide economic growth, employment, and sound financial returns for shareholders.
