About AcuJoist

AcuJoist I-joists are engineered and manufactured at our dedicated facility in Kelowna, British Columbia, and supplied across North America through a network of trusted distributors. Each joist is built to meet stringent APA performance standards, using a formaldehyde-free adhesive and spruce–pine–fir (SPF) flanges sourced from responsibly managed forests. Tested under the APA PRI-400 and PRI-405 programs, AcuJoist products deliver proven strength, stability, and quality for a wide range of floor and roof applications. Our manufacturing process integrates MiTek® software compatibility and supports downstream customization by our distribution partners.

We are the only manufacturer in British Columbia producing zero-added-formaldehyde I-joists, trusted by builders, designers, and distributors across North America. With over 25 years of experience, our process ensures dependable timelines and industry-backed performance you can rely on. As part of AcuTruss Industries 1996 Ltd., AcuJoist complements a full line of engineered roof trusses, beams, and steel roofing, ensuring customers can source complete, integrated building systems from one trusted partner.

Each joist is crafted to exact specifications using safer adhesives that support healthier indoor air and strong structural results. Our streamlined process ensures uniform performance, precise fit, and fewer issues during installation, giving builders confidence in every lift.

AcuJoist partners with distributors across diverse markets to ensure dependable, on-time delivery of engineered I-joists. Our logistics team supports complex supply schedules and high-volume fulfillment with precision. Whether you’re stocking for regional demand or coordinating custom shipments, we’re equipped to deliver the outcomes your customers expect.

Every AcuJoist flange is tension tested in-line for structural integrity prior to I-joist assembly. Using CSA- and ASTM-verified standards and equipment calibrated by an ISO/IEC-accredited third-party independent agency, our QA system stretches each 2×3 and 2×4 flange to as much as 10,999 pounds of force, ensuring performance you can trust, flange after flange.

Every two hours during production, off-line testing is conducted to assess tension, stiffness, and shear strength. These tests are performed in accordance with ASTM standards, with ultimate loads reaching three to four times the design values.
