Unconventional Thinking: Vancouver Convention Centre

The Vancouver Convention Centre (VCC) expansion is a project that achieved Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Platinum certification.

As the broadcast centre for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, it was a showcase for the products and manufacturing capabilities of the British Columbia, Canada forest sector.

The use of innovative wood materials and construction combined with the forward-thinking design makes the Convention Centre one of the most unique structures in North America. The architect and interior designer for the Centre give us more background into the design of this truly beautiful building.
