Governor General’s Medals Reward Innovation in Wood Design

May 20, 2016

The Governor General’s Medals in Architecture for 2016 include two B.C. projects using innovative mass timber structures, the Wood Innovation and Design Centre in Prince George by Michael Green Architecture and BC Passive House Factory in Pemberton by Hemsworth Architecture.

The awards honour the role that these buildings serve in changing the culture of design and construction to incorporate innovative and sustainable wood products.
