FraserWood is a participating partner in the Boston Society of Architects' (BSA) open design competition Urban Timber: From Seed to City. FraserWood supplied all of the timbers for one of the four winning entries entitled The Coopered Column (image above). This structure was designed to simulate how wood can effectively distribute lateral and vertical loads in tall structures.
One of their recent projects was supplying the large support trusses at the Summit Lodge, for the Sea-To-Sky Gondola project in Squamish, B.C. This Gondola provides sweeping views of Howe Sound fjord, the majestic coastal forest and surrounding mountains.
