B.C. invests $7.8 million to continue advancing wood use and growing global markets

The Government of B.C. is investing $7.8 million to promote the use of B.C. wood, advance wood building systems and products, and expand global markets. B.C.’s Minster of Jobs, Trade and Technology, Bruce Ralston made the announcement at the Council of Forest Industries annual convention today. Strengthening the B.C. forest industry and diversifying export markets continues to be a key part of government’s strategy to keep B.C.’s forest sector strong. The annual funding is being made available to 13 different trade associations and research institutes that deliver market development programs on behalf of government and industry.
