The Sea to Sky Wood Network (S2S) brings together wood professionals, craftspeople, designers, and advocates across the Sea to Sky Corridor for recurring monthly gatherings. Based in Squamish—a town with deep forestry roots, a rich history of woodcraft, and a growing hub for local economic development—S2S cultivates a space where industries and disciplines converge, and new collaborations spark innovation in the region.

Led by Lenny Rubenovitch—a passionate woodworker, storyteller, and community connector—the network serves as a local node within the broader TWIG ecosystem. Together, we explore how regional wood species, fabrication techniques, and design thinking can contribute to a more resilient, circular economy and support the growth of a higher-value wood sector. From historic industries to contemporary developments, celebrating wood in structure and interior features, Squamish offers fertile ground for conversation and experimentation.

S2S events rotate monthly—from shop tours and site visits to casual gatherings at local venues—offering opportunities to connect, share knowledge, and build relationships that inspire future projects and partnerships. Whether you work in industry, practice hands-on craft, or advocate for the value of wood, these sessions offer a chance to dust off the sawdust, step outside the day-to-day, and contribute to a local wood culture grounded in community and connection.

Our monthly events generally run from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. (unless stated otherwise). Once you attend, you’ll be invited to join the WhatsApp group to stay connected with monthly updates, event locations, and ongoing conversations from the community.
